Studio Day
Same room. Same day. Songs locked.
We walked into an empty live room and for a second it felt like nobody was supposed to be there. Just glass, a rug, and the quiet before seven guys try to make something stick.
Then the day got long in a good way.
Allen on Tele. Cam on bass. Me on keys. Aaron parked behind the steel. Dean on the kit. Craig with the cello. Erik out front. Same song from different corners of the room. You can hear when a take is almost there and when it finally lands. That glass cut is the one where the whole band is in it. The other clips are somebody left alone with their part long enough to mean it.
Aaron on the steel. Dean on the drums. Craig on the cello with his eyes closed. None of that is a photo shoot. That is a tracking floor on a day we decided the songs were done.
Friday the EP hits Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Pandora, and Tidal. What Is It Gonna Take. Six songs that started at a lake and ended in this room.
We do not have a big following yet. Still early. That is alright. The point of this day was not the internet. The point was finishing.
